Reports

What is it?

Reports is the analytics area of the admin section. It turns the sales, stock and staff data your shop produces every day into numbers you can act on: revenue over time, profit and loss, best- and worst-selling products, staff cost, the daily close, and an export for your accountant.

What is it for?

  • See how much you sold and earned in any period.
  • Understand where the money goes with a real profit-and-loss view.
  • Find the products that carry your shop — and the ones that tie up stock.
  • Track staff cost against revenue.
  • Close the day (Z-report) and hand clean figures to your accountant.

You reach it from the admin sidebar under Reports. Only Admin and Manager roles can open it.

Key terms

  • Period / date filter — every tab except Daily close is scoped by a date range.

Use the presets (Today, Week, Month) or pick a custom range.

  • Grouping — on Dashboard and Sales you can group the figures by day or week.
  • Trading date — a sale counts on the business day it was rung up, not the calendar

timestamp. This keeps late-night sales on the correct day.

  • Z-report / Daily close — the end-of-day summary per register, the anchor your

accounting export reconciles against.

The area is split into tabs; each has its own page in this manual — see below.
